What this site is

Faviconny is a website that helps you design and download favicons entirely in your browser. This page explains what data is handled and how it is used.

Data stored on your device

Design choices (text, colours, fonts, borders, uploaded images, and related options), theme preference, download options, and favicon history are saved in local storage on your device so the tool can remember settings between visits. Uploaded images stay on your computer as part of the current design and any matching history entries. This data is not uploaded to our servers. If you copy a share link, non-image design settings are placed in the URL hash; that hash stays in the browser and is not uploaded to our servers. You can remove saved data by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Third-party services

If you choose a Google Font other than the bundled Montserrat font for preview, the site loads that font from Google’s servers. Google may receive the font family name and standard network request information. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

In production we load Simple Analytics for cookieless page views. Simple Analytics does not set tracking cookies. See Simple Analytics’ privacy policy for details.

We also load Ahrefs Web Analytics in production to understand aggregate visits. See Ahrefs’ privacy documentation for details.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data or send your favicon designs, uploads, or history to our own servers. The generator has no accounts. Analytics scripts measure site usage only; they do not receive the icons you create.
